I’ve started a new blog (in danish) about Japanese food and Japanese popculture.
You can follow it here: http://oishiiotaku.wordpress.com/
Finished this kit last year, but totally forgot to post pics of it, so here ya go 😀
The kit is built more or less OOB. I did modify the pilot though, and sculpted new joints. I’ve texturized the model with Mr. Dissolved Putty and handpainted it with Vallejo Model Air paints
Eventhough both my wife and I still have our jobs, the money has been a bit sparse the last, due to the expenses of out wedding and such.
2 days ago the last hope died, when out car died (grrrrrrrrrrrr ) …. and we’re talking a complete new engine, so our economy is more or less screwed the rest of the year. What a way to start 2010 😦
Oh well, it’s just money. We’ll get back on our feet!
But this means, that there is no chance of me visiting Tokyo in 2010, and most likely 2011 as well.
So for now, I’ll just focus on the kits I have 😀
if you don’t already know it, I recommend, that you check out http://www.scale120.com/, which is an awesome blog by the very talented Maschinen Krieger builder Lin.K also known as Lincoln Wright.
Lin.K has been a great inspiration to me. Especially his way of brushpainting his models, is something I feel very inspired by.
So, if haven’t already, go check it out…. pronto 😀
Wow .. no new posts for almost 4 months .. shame on me.
I guess trying to run 2 blogs (the other one was about golf) alongside job, kids and the hobby, was just too much.
So I decided to kill the other blog, and focus on this one again. I also have a lot of planned projects for 2010, so plenty of stuff to document in the blog.
So prepare yourself for the ressurrection of this blog.
Well, it’s not actually a newly completed kit, since I finished it more than 2 years ago. However I recently had to redo the base, since the “earth” had lifted itself from the base.
So as I had to make a new base, and have since found a new and more realistic way to make earth and mud, I decided also to redo the weathering on my Nutrocker, so it blended better with the new base.
So enough said. I give you my Nutrocker V2 😀
Ok, ok not actually todays purchase, since I received the kit 2 weeks ago… Just been busy.
But here goes:
Biiiiig box …… and it contains only a single model 😀
Getting more and more exiting
Ok, I’ll better show you the content of the box:
The sodacan wasn’t included 😀
I just put it there, to give you all an idea of the size of this kit
And voila …. a 1/12 Colonial Viper from the original Battlestar Galactica.
As you can see, my daughter was pretty exited about this kit, and she wanted to help me built it right away … Patince, my young Paddawan, patience 😀
I’m really thrilled about this kit, beautifully mastered and casted by Mike Salzo … and the shear size of the kit is mindboggling.
I hope to get started on the kit during the winter-period
… since this blog has been so quiet for sooooooooo long … well… no … thank goodness.
It’s just a matter of me being preoccupied with starting a new job and a totally new carreer.
This means that I haven’t really have had any time for modeling lately, but I hope to get back to it soon.
At least I’ve bought the most awesome kit ever, so I guess I ought to show you some pics of it .. I’ll do that ASAP 😀
Weeeee .. I finally finished the Kröte. All that was left was to make a base, and a bit of weathering.
Not much to tell actually … I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves…. I hope they will at least 😀
